The 36-year-old has more than 130 previous convictions and was previously subject to a Criminal Behavior Order (CBO) banning him from Newbury Retail Park.

On Thursday, October 24, Gainey was back in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court.

There he admitted stealing meat worth £176 from Waitrose on Tuesday, October 8.

Gainey further admitted to stealing a selection of meat products, of an unknown value, from the same store on Tuesday, October 1.

Magistrates ordered reports into the criminal case and released Gainey, who was legally represented by Adonis Daniel, on bail on condition he does not enter any Waitrose stores.
